Let's not get upset. Yes it is a virus - but we are convinced that you can still spend a carefree holiday even during Covid times.
The past 1.5 years have already shown us that vacation 2.0 can be really lässig. So don't let your holiday mood spoil you - because with a few adjustments, the holiday feeling is guaranteed.
The Saalbacher Hof with its size offers a variety of possibilities to find a place for yourself. Without being surrounded by crowds. And the whole thing right in the centre of Saalbach.
In addition to the size, we of course guarantee you the highest hygiene standards, which we have always lived and practiced anyway. In addition, we have increased the number of cleaning and disinfection passes in all areas of the hotel.
This is what a carefree holiday in the Saalbacher Hof can look like:
As everywhere else, you should keep the following basic rules in mind also at the SBH.
- Keep at least 1m distance to people that do not live in the same household as you or belong to the same group
- Avoid shaking hands, hugs and physical contact
- Wash hands several times a day with soap and water
- Avoid touching the face with dirty hands
- Sneeze or cough in the crook of the arm or in a handkerchief
- Follow the instructions of the employees

For your stay at the Saalbacher Hof you don't need any proof any longer.

If you need a test for returing back home, you can do a Antigen or PCR test at the local pharmacy.
Our changed cancellation policies
In times like these, we want to offer you the greatest possible flexibility. That is why we have adjusted our cancellation policies for your holiday at the Saalbacher Hof:

With us you can change your holiday to a later point in this summer or to the summer 2023 (to a surcharge) or even cancel your holiday free of charge until 2 weeks before arrival. From 2 weeks to one week prior arrival the cancellation fee is 70%. Within the last week before you arrive 90% of the cost of your booking will be charged, on early departure 100%. Until 24 hours prior arrival you can change your holiday to a later date in summer 2021 (to the same price).
A cancallation free of charge is also possible if there is a travel warning grade 4, a cancellation of the flights to Salzburg or Munich, if there is a mandatory home quarantine of more than one week or in case of an entry ban. To be 100% sure! Despite the pandemic status the European Travel Insurance has insurance coverage in the event of illness or signs of Covid-19! Details you can find here.

With us you can change your holiday to a later point in this winter or to the winter 2023/24 (to a surcharge) or even cancel your holiday free of charge until 6 weeks before arrival. From 6 weeks to one week prior arrival the cancellation fee is 70%. Within the last week before you arrive 90% of the cost of your booking will be charged, on early departure 100%.
A cancallation free of charge is also possible if there is a travel warning grade 4, a cancellation of the flights to Salzburg or Munich, if there is a mandatory home quarantine of more than one week or in case of an entry ban. These conditions are only valid for individual bookings up to 10 persons.
Where do you need mouth and nose protection?
In the hotel you do not need to wear a mask.
Outside the hotel, FFP2 masks are to be worn in all shops of daily need and supermarkets. This also applies to public transport as well as medical facilities.

Restaurants & Bars
The buffets (breakfast and evening buffets) are still allowed and will continue to be offered without restrictions in combination with dishes served. There are several disinfection options at the entrance to the restaurant and at the buffet. We also offer gloves at the buffet so that you can continue to use the serving cutlery without any worries.
Our new SBH "2020 - Bar & Lounge" is open until midnight. Here you can end the evening with a drink.
In restaurants & bars the same rules apply as in hotels.
Wellness and Fitness
There are no real restrictions in the wellness or fitness area and the entire range is available to you as usual.
The water in our pools is prepared and disinfected. The same applies here again - pay attention to a distance of one meter (except for short-term shortfalls). When using the sauna, waving a towel is not recommended. In front of the individual saunas you will find a recommendation regarding the maximum occupancy. Unless you use the sauna as part of a family - then of course there is no upper limit :)
Everything is prepared for relaxation in the relaxation rooms and on the loungers in the wellness area. The minimum distance is guaranteed.
